supplement for historical research, but also be the documents that should be paid attention to and studied in the history of ideology and culture. It plays an important role in the development of the whole social history. As a kind of image originated in the Neolithic period, the fish-bird images appeared in large numbers in the Han Dynasty and spread to the present, which must be closely related to the historical and cultural concepts behind it.The pre-Qin,Qin and Han dynasties was an important period for the development of fish-bird images. The study of fish-bird images in this period is conducive to understanding the development of fish-bird images, sorting out the change process of their symbolic meanings, analyzing the evolution of cultural concepts behind them, and the correlation between fish and birds. In the pre-Qin period, there were two paths for the development of fish-bird images: first, the single fish pattern or the bird pattern combined with other patterns in the process of development, and the fish-bird image became one of the combinations; The second is the combination of fish pattern, bird pattern and other patterns of the image, affected by the shape of the instrument, painting space and other factors, simplified into a fish bird image containing only fish birds.During the Qin and Han dynasties,fish-bird images ushered in a flourishing period.Fish-bird patterns were combined with animal patterns, human patterns and architectural patterns, and formed a specific combination pattern. The symbolic meanings of these combinations vary in different periods and regions. In pre-Qin,Qin and Han dynasties, the symbolic meanings of fish and birds had different development trends, including philosophical significance, political connotation and life implication.Even in the same kind of implication,it also had multi-level development. In philosophical significance, the fish-bird images often reflect the pre-Qin people’s view of the universe that heaven and earth are born by the Yin and Yang. The top is bird-shaped,and the bottom is fish-shaped.The bird of Yang symbolizes the sky and the swimming fish of Yin symbolizes the earth. The pattern of fish-bird interaction reflects the concept of time and space based on the transition of Yin and Yang in the pre-Qin,Qin and Han dynasties. The bird-fish interconversion itself,as well as the north-south migration and the four seasons in the interconversion model all reflect the space-time change based on Yin and Yang. The images of fish and birds in tombs mostly reflect people’s view of life and death.Fish and birds as a manned tool, meaning a total of carrying the tomb master to heaven;Fish and birds as a part of auspicious figure, symbolizing the fairy world; The image of fish and birds engraved on the door or carved on the tomb door has the meaning of intimidating evil spirits to preserve the ascension of the immortal; The fish-bird images with coital significance, symbolizing immortality and immortality or offspring prosperity;Standing bird and hanging fish, have prayed for the tomb owner and descendants of wealth and prosperity. The thoughts of becoming immortal after death and "dead as alive" are all based on the immortal view of life and death of the soul, which holds that death is only the extinction of the body, namely the soul. The fish-bird images have political connotations. In the pre-Qin period, natural scenery was often attached to personnel, and the scholars expressed their political views with fish and birds. In the Han Dynasty, influenced by the corresponding concepts of the same kind,Chinese poetry reflected the political environment of the time by comparing the living conditions of fish and birds to the living conditions of subjects.Han Fu expresses the wealth of the country and the prosperity of the empire through a detailed listing of natural fish and birds. The images of fish and birds also have implications for life.In pre-Qin poetry, birds and fish are often used as metaphors for love between men and women. In the Classic of Mountains and Seas, the divine fish with fish and birds is the object for people to pray for good weather and good crops. The fish-bird images in the Han Dynasty were engraved with auspicious words in order to lead a smooth life and achieve high wealth and prestige.Such as Xiao Xingyi on the "Rili",copper wash on the "riches and prosperity" and so on.From the pre-Qin period to the Qin and Han dynasties, the symbolism of fish-bird images developed continuously.According to the mainstream ideas and the actual needs of the group at that time, ancestors gave new connotations to the fish and bird images on the basis of abandoning or inheriting the original connotations. The fish-bird images contain rich connotations, which come from the diversified symbolic meanings of fish and birds, which can be compared with men and women,Kings and ministers, heaven and earth and so on.In the early view of the universe,Yin and Yang could give birth to heaven and earth, four seasons, and all things, and the political and people’s livelihood could be explained by the views of Yin and Yang and five elements. In order to prove that the classification system of yin-yang and five elements is adapted to everything, animals may also be included in the classification model of yin-yang to prove the correlation principle of the model itself. In this Yin and Yang mode, everything is related, and the Yang bird and the Yin fish can be used to compare all kinds of people and things. | | Keywords/Search
