In recent years, the protection and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage(hereafter referred to as "ICH")has been a key area of concern for academics and practitioners. However, there is a misconception in the research and practice of ICH protection and dissemination, that the temporal and spatial attributes of ICH are regarded as the background of its existence and development rather than its essential attributes, which leads to the dissemination of ICH remaining at the level of information transmission and skill interpretation, while the cultural connotations behind it remain uncommunicated. This thesis, based on the investigation of the essential attributes of ICH and its shift in dissemination, analyzes its compatibility with scene propagation and introduces scene into ICH dissemination.Based on Clark and Silver’s definition of a scene as "a place of productive significance",this thesis defines the scene of ICH and proposes its dissemination.Based on the foregoing,it summarizes the three elements of constructing the scene of ICH(people, things, and events),and combines Lefebvre’s spatial "triad dialectic" to present ICH as a symbolic representation of space, distinguishing the three levels of ICH construction: tangible space, virtual space, and the space where both are combined, and analyzing the ways in which these spaces are represented.Through grafting, translation, and inlaying these three elements into the three spaces, this thesis creates a dissemination scene for ICH.The thesis study reveals that there is a certain significance and value to the dissemination of NRM through the three spaces mentioned above, including cultural value and practical value. The cultural value is mainly expressed in the immersive experience and cultural identity gained by the users, while the real value is reflected in the commercial and recreational shift of the NRM.Finally, based on the results of the research and analysis,an optimisation path is proposed for the scene-based communication of NRM,mainly at two levels: the space of practice and the space of representation. The first level is the living use of the practice space: to create a composite space through the coexistence of business and culture;to stimulate the vitality of the ICH through the combination of online and offline. The second level is the use of the representational space: to refine visual symbols and integrate them into the living scene;to modernise the discourse of ICH and to "demystify" ICH.Through these two levels of measures, the aim is to integrate ICH into daily life scenes and achieve a panoramic and immersive communication.
