Research On History And Formative Arts Of Mongolian Typefaces

Mongolian lead characters have had a profound impact on the development of Mongolian publishing industry and culture,containing unique research value and profound imprints of the times.Some visual features in Mongolian lead characters have been used to this day and influence today’s fonts,which is a content that cannot be ignored in the study of the evolution of Mongolian font design,and is also an important support for continuing the historical context of Mongolian font design.However,there is a serious lag in the historical research and application research of Mongolian lead characters,which directly affects the development of Mongolian font theory and innovative application research.The thesis takes Mongolian lead characters as the research object,and uses archaeological typology,literature analysis and other research methods to summarize and sort out relevant materials.The historical overview and font modeling of Mongolian lead characters are analyzed emphatically,and the Mongolian lead characters are typed,and the outlines of the screened samples are extracted to exclude the influence of other factors on the font type.According to the characteristic elements of various fonts,the classification map of Mongolian lead characters is established.By summarizing the style characteristics of various types of Mongolian lead characters,the following conclusions are drawn: the contour curve of Mongolian lead characters gradually approaches in the long process of change,and Mongolian lead characters show the regular characteristics of development from scattered and disorderly to traceable as a whole.From the perspective of font design,the research results of this thesis enrich the shape of Mongolian character fonts,provide methods and ideas for future research on Mongolian lead characters,and also promote the development of Chinese font design to a certain extent.In addition,the research results of this thesis provide an important data reserve and theoretical basis for the theoretical research of Mongolian character font design and the research and development of modern digital innovative fonts in the future.
