| Nasal crown sounds are less distributed in world languages, and their sources and evolution paths are diverse. Some scholars believe that the nasal crown sounds in Tibetan and Burmese languages have regional characteristics, and not all kinship languages have nasal crown sounds.Nasal crown sound is an important phonetic feature of Naxi language, but the distribution of nasal crown sound in Naxi dialect has regional differences. Moreover,in the phonetic changes of the western dialect of Naxi language in modern times,an obvious phonetic phenomenon is the confluence of the nasal crown sound and other pure voiced consonants. This article uses the theories and methods of geographical linguistics to investigate and study the dot nose crown sounds in 20 representative dialects. The research results show that synchronic dialect materials exhibit significant distribution patterns in geographical space and time.Combining previous documented literature and first-hand field investigation data,it is shown that for over half a century, the nasal crown sounds have been in the process of confluence, and the synchronic distribution reflects the path of the occurrence of the nasal crown sounds confluence in Dainesi. This article is divided into six parts: The first is the introduction, which introduces the Naxi dialect division, the basis and significance of the topic selection, the current research situation, research methods, and the process of field investigation. The first part mainly explores the source of nasal crown sounds.According to current research data, nasal crown sounds in Naxi language may originate from non nasal anterior crown sounds in Tibetan. The second and third parts use the methods of geographical linguistics and historical linguistics to describe the distribution types and characteristics of nasal crown sounds in Naxi language from early to modern times, and draw two nasal crown sound distribution maps and two nasal crown sound type maps. The fourth part uses the method of geographical linguistics, selects representative phonetic vocabulary to investigate 20 local points in the western Naxi dialect, and analyzes the three forms of the evolution of the nasal crown sound in modern Naxi language based on previous corpus. This article analyzes the evolution steps of Naxi nasal crown sounds from two aspects: the differences in geographical location between urban and rural areas and the iterative differences in population, revealing the important characteristics of the gradual transition of nasal crown sounds from urban to rural areas. In addition, through strict screening of the investigated phonetic items,36 maps of the geographical distribution of nasal crown sounds were drawn, which to some extent clarified the characteristics of the gradual convergence of nasal crown sounds among the old, middle, and young schools, following the trend of age from small to large. The study of the confluence characteristics of nasal crowns in Naxi language can not only enrich the phonetic study of Naxi language, but also provide a reference for the study of nasal crowns in other languages from a synchronic perspective. |
