An Analysis Of The Creation Strategies Of Social Youth Documentaries-Graduation Work "Shenzhen Ant Tribe" Director Exposition

The number of college graduates will reach 9.09 million in 2021 and 10.76 million in 2022.With the outbreak of the epidemic and the reduction of employment positions,Chinese young people are facing more and more difficulties in employment and survival.The author spent nearly 11 months following Guan Xingnian,Tang Zhumei and Bamsi,who were working in Shenzhen."Shenzhen Ant Tribe" adopts the objective documentary performance method,through the way of capturing,following and interviewing,to show the struggle process of the three protagonists in Shenzhen.They,like thousands of anonymous ordinary people,search for ideals,experience happiness and pain in the corners of the city.The original intention of creating this documentary is to record the real side of young people’s struggle,struggle,happiness and pain in this era,and to extend people’s discussion of "work,life and life".Based on Maslow’s theory of demand society,film and television media theories such as character shaping,basic theory of shooting and cross-editing,this paper makes a detailed elaboration on the creative process and techniques of the social youth documentary "Shenzhen Ant Tribe".Expatiate the background,value and reason of the topic;Through the actual shooting of the documentary,the author analyzes the techniques and characteristics of character image shaping,the effects of external narrative perspective and cross narrative structure on the creation and style formation of social youth documentaries.This paper expounds the strategies of using documentary language in film and television from the aspects of shot language,shot scheduling,"scene reproduction" supplementing narrative break point,etc.The application of cross editing in social youth documentaries and the preparation and skills of character interviews.At the same time,I reflect on the creation of graduation works.
