Skateboarding was introduced to China from the 90 s of last century,and after more than 30 years,it has undergone earth-shaking changes.Especially since the successful entry of skateboarding into the Olympic Games in 2016,the development momentum of skateboarding in China has become better and better,and more and more people like the sport of skateboarding.With the improvement of the domestic skateboard industry,skateboard coaches,skateboard referee and other occupation have emerged,but the public’s understanding of these two new occupations is insufficient,and there are still some misunderstandings about skateboarding.The documentary The "skateboard" Era of Shanghai Old Gangster takes Jiang Xiaobin,one of China’s first skateboarders born in Shanghai,as the protagonist,focusing on his three identities as a skateboarder,skateboard coach and skateboard referee,recording Jiang Xiaobin’s daily work as a skateboard coach in the form of a documentary,and showing to the audience his more than 30 years of skateboarding experience,his psychological changes after changing from a skateboarder to a skateboard coach,a skateboard referee,and his understanding and attitude towards skateboarding.This paper mainly elaborates on the graduation project from seven aspects:topic selection overview,topic selection research review,research methods,work introduction,creation process,contribution and shortcomings of the work,and creative experience.The author hopes that through such a documentary about skateboarding figures,the audience can feel the unique personality charm of Jiang Xiaobin,gain an in-depth understanding of skateboards,skateboarding coaches,skateboarding referee and other groups,and reflect the development status of skateboarding in China from the other side,so that more people can really understand the sport of skateboarding,so as to promote the better development of skateboarding in China.
