| Teachers’ resilience refers to the ability,process and results of teachers’ active adaptation through internal and external support resources when facing difficulties and challenges in teaching work.It is one of the important driving forces for teachers to achieve professional development.In recent years,due to the high burnout rate and turnover rate of teachers in the early stages of their careers,in the research of teacher professional development in different fields,teacher resilience has become a hot topic.Investigating the teachers’ resilience of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand can provide some reference and help for the professional growth and career development of international Chinese teachers in Thai and other countries and regions.At the same time,it can provide corresponding adjustment strategies for volunteer Chinese teachers who encounter unfavorable situations to ensure efficient and high-quality development of individual and international Chinese education projects.The paper uses the literature analysis method to summarize and sort out the research results of domestic and foreign teachers’ resilience and international Chinese education volunteers.It uses quantitative and qualitative research ideas,interviews and questionnaires the 2022 International Chinese Education Volunteer in Thailand,to conduct a survey on the status quo of teachers’ resilience.Through interviews,the paper understands the influencing factors of the teachers’ resilience of volunteers in Thai,builds a structural framework for the teachers’ resilience of volunteers in Thai,measures the level of teachers’ resilience of volunteers in Thai through scales,and summarizes the characteristics and differences of the teachers’ resilience of volunteers in Thai.Based on this,the training and promotion strategies for international Chinese education volunteers in Thailand are put forward in a targeted manner.The survey results show that:(1)Through descriptive analysis,it is found that the teachers’ resilience of volunteers is generally at the upper-middle level,but the teaching experience is relatively poor.(2)Through the difference analysis,it is found that the volunteers with different professional backgrounds had significant differences in the dimension of professional ability;the volunteers with different teaching experiences had significant differences in the dimension of personal traits and professional ability;there are differences in the overall level of teachers’ resilience,the dimension of teaching experience,and the dimension of external support among volunteers with different actual treatment in Thailand,and there are very significant differences in the dimension of external support;the volunteers with different duration in Thailand has significant differences in the dimensions of teaching experience.(3)The risk factors that hinder the teacher resilience of Thai volunteers are mainly manifested as weak professional knowledge and skills,negative teaching experience,and limited external environmental support.Based on the above survey results,this study puts forward strategies for cultivating and improving the teachers’ resilience of volunteers in Thailand from the aspects of individual teachers,pre-job stages and external supports.In order to promote the healthy development of teachers’ resilience of volunteer Chinese teachers in Thailand and the smooth implementation of the International Chinese Education projects. |
