Abstract/Summary:
In the late Qing Dynasty and the Republic of China,a large number of lithographic story Baojuan in commercial private printing houses became a typical feature of the urbanization of Baojuan in Wu-language area.Xiyin Bookstore was the commercial private book company that published the largest number of lithographic Baojuan in the period of the Republic of China.Compared with Wenyi Bookstore,Xiyin Bookstore established a more commercial operation model,and its lithographic Baojuan also had a stronger secular and entertainment color.It can be said that the lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Bookstore further promoted the secularization of the Baojuan.The study of the lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Bookstore is of great significance to the study of the evolution of the Baojuan in modern society and the changes of the text and style of the Baojuan.The main body of the paper is divided into the following parts:The first chapter,Comprehensive table of lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Book Store:With the help of the General Catalogue of Chinese Baojuan and the bibliographic advertisements attached to the Lithographic Baojuan of the Bookstore of Xiyin,the author has compiled 104 lithographic Baojuan of the Bookstore of Xiyin.According to the literature of the Baojuan published in recent years,the image version of the Baojuan collected by foreign libraries published on the Internet and the shadow of the Baojuan auctioned on the Internet of Confucius’ s old books,the author cataloged the 104 kinds of Baojuan known and seen,and made a brief introduction to its description,collection and common editions.This chapter is the literature basis of the full text.The second chapter,Characteristics and sources of lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Book Store: This paper discusses the commercial packaging and marketing mode of the lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Bookstore from the aspects of copyright awareness,advertising marketing and layout design,which proves that the marketing of the lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Bookstore is on the track of secularization and commercialization.The lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Bookstore has three sources: one is to reprint the Baojuan of other book companies,the other is to arrange and adapt the Baojuan of folk manuscripts,and the third is to compile the new Baojuan.These three sources of the Baojuan reflect strong entertainment,promote the Baojuan to further change into popular literature.The third chapter,The entertainment theme and educational orientation of the lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Book Store: The lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Bookstore has a strong secular color and strong story,which is similar to popular literary books in nature,so that the nature and function of the Baojuan have undergone a profound change from faith to entertainment.However,it is still intended to strengthen the function of enlightenment and to maintain the particularity of the faith text of the Baojuan to some extent.The forth chapter,The status and value of the lithographic Baojuan of Xiyin Book Store: Xiyin Bookstore has the largest number of lithographic Baojuan,accounting for half of the lithographic Baojuan publishing industry,and its industry position is second only to Wenyi Bookstore.Compared with Wenyi Publishing Company,Xiyin Publishing Company is more enthusiastic about the revision and new compilation of Baojuan.This part of Baojuan reflects the characteristics of modern urban literature and citizen literature,and has higher literary and social value.Because of its low price and the issue of the whole country,so it retains the most handed down stone print story Baojuan,has important literature value.In a word,a large number of lithographic Baojuan from commercial private printing houses,including Xiyin Publishing House,profoundly changed the nature and function of the Baojuan from faith to entertainment.These Baojuan changed from sacred texts to secular texts and from ritual texts to popular literature on the desk.They also led the Baojuan to the development track of popular literature and popular literature.With the help of modern means of circulation,it transcends the geographical limitation of Wulanguage area and exerts influence on the whole country.
