The opera “Snegurochka” was adapted by Russian composer Rimsky Korsakov according to the literary works of the playwright Ostrovsky.It was completed in 1881 and premiered at the Mariinsky Opera House in Saint Petersburg,Russia the following year.It is a representative work of Russian fairy tale opera.The characters are based on Russian folklore and partly follow the main storyline of Ostrovsky ’s play “Snegurochka”.This article focuses on the only two arias of Snegurochka,conducts a three-dimensional and multi-faceted study of the image of Snegurochka,and highlights the transformation of the character image before and after : from the lively image of “naive” to the holy image of “willing to sacrifice for love”.European and American operas often use the first lyric of the character ’s aria to name the aria,while Russian operas use “Ария” or “Сцена” to refer to the character ’s aria or scene.This article adopts the way of respecting the original text,using the name aria one、aria two to call the Snegurochka’s two arias.Through the analysis and research of these two arias,combined with the singing experience,this article explores the singing skills of “Snegurochka”and the image characteristics of the characters,so as to provide literature reference for the subsequent performers in the role grasp.This thesis is divided into four chapters: The first chapter introduces the composer and the creation background of his work “Snegurochka”,and briefly describes the storyline;the second chapter analyzes the image of Snegurochka from the literary dimension,and explores the characteristics of the characters from folk legends,plays and opera scripts,and combs the inheritance and development of these three parts.The third chapter makes a spectral analysis of the two arias,and interprets the image characteristics of Snegurochka in the composer ’s works from the music dimension.The fourth chapter analyzes the singing skills and emotional expression of the works from the perspective of the performer.Combined with the author ’s own understanding of the role,it explores the shaping of the stage image of the Snegurochka from the aspects of stage dress,action performance and facial expression.According to the classic opera performance version of these two arias,it analyzes the characteristic inheritance and “second creation” in Snegurochka stage performance.
