Among the flute works of the Western Romantic period,Chaminade’s Concertino in D Major for Flute holds a highly representative character,with an intense lyrical style and a free-spirited musical characteristic,which demonstrates the abundance of emotions in the inner world of the composer.The author struck a chord when initially appreciating this work,which led to the decision to probe the composition background,stylistic characteristics and performance techniques of the piece in conjunction with own performance at the graduation concert,by employing methods such as documentary research,musical morphological analysis and instrumental performance analysis.The significance of this paper lies in enriching the theoretical study of this work in China,as well as integrating the learning experience and performance experience of the author,thereby assisting flute performers in grasping the performance style and emotional expression of this piece in a more comprehensive manner.At the present time,Chaminade’s Concertino in D Major for Flute has emerged as a classic competition piece both domestically and internationally,which also serves as one of the required pieces in numerous conservatories of music,while studying this work is a must for every flute performer. |
