It has been more than 200 years since stand-up comedy was born,but it was widely paid attention in our country for more than ten years.stand-up comedy began in Britain in the early 20 th century,since it was introduced into our country at the end of last century,it didn’t immediately gain wide dissemination.With domestic post-modernism prosperity of thoughts and people’s spiritual and cultural needs increasing,stand-up comedy gradually entered the public vision.stand-up comedy is also gaining popularity among a large audience,mainly teenagers.The discussion on the creation theme,expression form and social value of stand-up comedy is not only the theoretical basis and practical summary of the creation of many people in the industry,but also the best evidence of the continuous innovation of literary criticism keeping pace with the times.There are few research results on stand-up comedy in China.This research has certain theoretical value and innovative significance.This paper mainly uses literature research,theoretical analysis and summary and other research methods.The text is divided into three chapters.The first chapter backtracks the development process of Chinese and western stand-up comedy and the view of comedy in the history of western literary theory,explains the coincidence of stand-up comedy and the spiritual core of postmodern culture through the analysis of the background of the rise of postmodernism cultural trend of thought,and briefly analyzes the cultural factors affecting the current stand-up comedy.This chapter mainly begins with the cultural background of the emergence and development of literary forms and focuses on the overall situation of stand-up comedy.The last two chapters are the focus of the thesis.The second chapter mainly analyzes the creation and acceptance mechanism of stand-up comedy.Firstly,I interpret stand-up comedy texts according to narratology theory.On the basis of analyzing the text,I pay attention to the relationship between stand-up comedy and the creative subject,and further explore the internal mechanism of the form of stand-up comedy to push the creative subject realize self-expression.After clarifying the issues of content generation and the expression of the creative subject value in the creative stage of standup comedy,I bring the analysis of the recipient into the scope of research.In the third section of chapter two,I briefly analyze the reception process of stand-up comedy,and form a reference to the discussion of the cultural characteristics of postmodernism in the first chapter.The third chapter continues the above discussion,discusses the value and spirit of stand-up comedy,the aesthetic and social value of stand-up comedy.In this section,I firstly discuss the core characteristics of "humor" of stand-up comedy,and then discuss the social value of stand-up comedy mainly from the perspective of feminism and the identity of the creative subject.At the end of this paper,the spirit of stand-up comedy is summarized,the current situation of stand-up comedy development is reflected and the direction of its future improvement is prospected.In this paper,the development achievements of stand-up comedy are summarized and the sustainable development of stand-up comedy is provided with some theoretical support from the perspective of literature and art.
