Transformation And Reflection Of Contemporary Fibre Art Towards Public Art

Although fiber art in its long development process,most of the wall decoration left people with the stereotype of "exquisite,soft and flat",but with the development of science and society,the expansion of fiber materials and the emergence of new art trend,modern fiber art is also slowly out of the "comfort zone",trying to complete the "collusion" with contemporary art.Extend the creation to the field of public art.This makes fiber art on the creation stage of "public space" with a posture that cannot be ignored,and produces a series of creative "transformation" in the process.Starting from the concept of "transformation" from fiber art to public art,this paper first combines with representative fiber art works at home and abroad to help people understand the concrete expression of "transformation" from fiber art to public art creation in public space.Then,it cut into the nature of "publicity" of public art,and discussed how to make fiber art pay more attention to the expression of public context on the basis of "transformation" to public art,thus triggering new thinking on the transformation of fiber art in public space to focus on "publicity".Furthermore,the author puts forward his personal opinion on the development strategy of fiber art in public space,enumerates the narrative ways and forms of expression of fiber art that pay more attention to "publicity" in public space,giving contemporary fiber art a new vision and more possibilities.In combination with my own creation practice,it shows the artistic design effect of fiber art creation in public space focusing on the expression of "publicity" of public art from the two aspects of environmental coordination and public interaction.
