Research On Human Geography Documentary Creation Based On The "Grierson Model"

Documentary is a mirror reflecting social life,and it plays a positive role in promoting the formation of social consciousness.In January 2022,the State Administration of Radio,Film and Television issued the Opinions on Promoting the High-quality Development of documentary in the New Era,which pointed out that "focusing on the mission of" holding the banner,gathering the people,educating new people,invigorating culture and developing image ".We should firmly maintain the correct political,public opinion and value orientation,and guide the people in fostering a correct view of history,the nation,the country and culture." This is a strategic direction for the value orientation of documentary creation,and then a large number of documentary works with positive content,rich connotation and excellent production.Human geography documentary,as an important branch of humanistic documentary,focuses on regional environmental characteristics and natural cultural landscape,reflects the development of human and natural environment,human and regional social relations,and has incomparable innate advantages in showing the harmonious relationship between man and land."Taishan Pines and Cypresses" is based on the unique natural and cultural connotation of Taishan and the rich landscape resources of ancient and famous trees,to show the autumn moon and spring breeze written in the history of this land from the perspective of ancient trees.Therefore,it involves how to express the connotation of human history through natural landscape.To solve this problem,we explore the use of Grierson model documentary structure to tell this story.The "documentary film" theory proposed by Grierson is a relatively mature documentary creation theory at present.It advocates the authenticity of the picture content,advocates the intervention of commentary to express emotion and expand the picture,and emphasizes the educational significance and poetic tradition of documentary,which coincides with the documentary creation direction advocated below.In summary,based on the creation principle of human geography documentary and the Grierson model film theory,the author discusses the creation and research path of "Tarzan Pines and Cypresses" from the following aspects:First,based on the collection of literature and the observation of relevant film and television works,the author discusses the creation techniques of human geography documentaries and their cultural connotation presentation techniques,narrative skills and audio-visual skills in shaping regional symbols.The second is to sort out the problems existing in the exploration of the natural and cultural value of Mount Tai.The author discusses from three aspects: "natural landscape shaping" "image display of famous mountains" and "historical explanation method",and proposes that Mount Tai’s rich pine and cypress ancient tree culture is the way to solve the above problems.And from the "geographical culture shaping","historical humanistic implication" and "image communication value" three aspects of it.Third,relying on the rich cultural connotation of the pine and cypresses of Mount Tai,it expounds the embodiment of the Pine and cypresses of Mount Tai from the three aspects of the Grierson model: "principle of truth" "poetic narrative" and "edutainment function".In this regard,the film to the verifiable real history to ensure the authenticity of the work;Based on Taishan literature resources to help poetic narrative presentation;The exploration of cultural value guides the advancement of aesthetic education.Fourthly,it discusses the creative process of "Taishan Pine and Cypress" from three aspects of visual,auditory and montage effects.Visually,the formation process of the image style of "Taishan Pine and Cypress" will be explained from three aspects:the use of field,the description of shooting method,and the aerial shooting technique of special lens.Auditory from the human voice,music,audio three aspects of the selection of auditory elements and audio-visual cooperation;And from the point of view of narrative techniques to clarify the editing principles and editing ideas.Fifth,based on the literature and investigation in the production process of the work,the author discusses the problems existing in the work itself and the research and dissemination of Taishan culture,and puts forward the corresponding prospect.
