As an ancient folk literature,myth stories not only contain extremely rich cultural connotations,but also help people understand and explore the mysteries of nature,human nature and the universe.Picture book as a form of comprehensive art,using painting,writing and other forms of the myth can be better inherited and carried forward.In this paper,the theme of the story of "Li Ji cut the snake" in Sou shen Ji,through the visual graphic creation of the story plot,the paper picture book is used to show and present the development process of Li Ji-beheaded snake story,so that readers can understand the cultural connotation and spiritual value of Li Ji-beheaded snake story more intuitively.At the same time,summed up the design method of picture book,expression form,picture style and so on,and put forward a new practical approach to the development of traditional culture in modern times.
