| In the early days of the Anti-Japanese War,Japan’s aggression against China deepened gradually, and a series of large-scale battles broke out in Shanghai and Wuhan successively. The effective forces of China’s Anti-Japanese War were greatly consumed, and it became an urgent task for the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China to publicize and mobilize the youth to enrich the anti-Japanese forces. Therefore, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China respectively took the “Central Daily”and the “New China News” as the propaganda positions, and began the long-term and multi-angle youth propaganda work.In the context of adapting to the situation of the Anti-Japanese War,adhering to and maintaining the anti-Japanese national united front, and uniting to save the national crisis, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China had consistency in the purpose of propaganda, and both emphasized the importance of the youth in the Anti-Japanese War.However, there are differences between the two newspapers in the specific aspects of youth army, youth groups and youth education. From the perspective of propaganda strategy, the two Party newspapers have something in common: they use the speeches, statements of leaders and heroic deeds on the battlefield to stimulate the enthusiasm of young people for the Anti-Japanese War,but “Central Daily” emphasizes the authority of leaders and has a strong color of Party spirit.“New China News” always adheres to the anti-Japanese needs of young people as the basis, adopting a flexible way of publicity. As a result, the two newspapers have different effects on the mobilization of youth. In the early stage of the Anti-Japanese War,the Kuomintang achieved certain propaganda results, which played a supporting role in supplementing the troops on the front battlefield. However, after the Fifth Plenary Session of the Fifth CPC Central Committee was held in 1939,the policy of the Kuomintang changed from external to internal, that is,passive anti-Japanese and active anti-Communist.To a certain extent,it dissipated the propaganda effect of “Central Daily”,which gradually alienated the young people from the Kuomintang. The propaganda effect of the “New China News” is relatively remarkable. It always sticks to the propaganda ideology of comprehensive Anti-Japanese War and giving priority to Anti-Japanese War,and gathers a number of effective forces for the Anti-Japanese War.However, the propaganda of the Communist Party of China also has some shortcomings, such as the single form of newspaper publication, obvious attack. In short, through the comparative study of the two newspapers,it can be seen that the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China not only carried out various forms of propaganda and took measures in line with the psychology of young people in order to mobilize young people to join the Anti-Japanese War,but also trained young people to grasp military skills through various organizations, effectively strengthened the Anti-Japanese War force and expanded and enriched the united front. However, due to the different political status and class attributes of the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China, they have different emphasis on the use of specific youth policies and propaganda strategies, resulting in different propaganda results. |
