| With the development of world globalization,international communication becomes closer and closer.English plays more and more important role.Therefore,it is important to improve students’ English overall level.Traditional teaching approach mainly uses quantitative input of words,phrases and sentence patterns before the class,analysis of article structure and recitation of good words and sentences during the class.The teacher pays attention to the input of words and phrases.The teacher neglects the output of language.For a long time,This approach of high input and light output causes some writing problems for junior high school students,such as: poor logic,incomplete structure,inexact language use,non-standard writing or low motivation.To some degree,it reflects the separation of learning and use in traditional English writing.Writing teaching effect isn’t good.It is difficult to improve students’ writing level(content,language use and structure).Meanwhile,it is hard to make students build their confidence.It can reduce students’ interest.It is bad for students’ learning initiative.So students lack positive emotional experience.In view of the above problems in writing teaching,this study tries to use production-oriented approach constructed by professor Wen Qiufang and her team in English writing in junior high schools.Production-oriented approach asks teachers to clarify the learning objectives and stimulate the “output”motivation.Students can appreciate English discourses to promote“input”of language,organize writing compositions efficiently and achieve“output”goals.It puts the emphasis on students’ writing level and positive emotional experience.Based on the input hypothesis,output hypothesis and interaction hypothesis,the author explores suitable English writing model for junior high school students.The study lasted for one term and included fifteen periods.There were two samples.The experimental class(Class 1)adopted the production-oriented approach;The control class(Class 2)adopted the traditional teaching approach.All students used junior high English textbooks published by Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press.In order to solve two problems:(1)How can production-oriented approach affect junior high school students’ English writing level(content,language use and structure)?(2)How can production-oriented approach affect junior high school students’ English writing emotional experience(happiness emotion,smelting emotion and melting emotion)?The analysis shows that production-oriented approach has a positive impact on junior high school students’ English writing,optimizes the process of junior high school English writing and provides new ideas for writing teaching models.It is mainly reflected in the following two aspects:(1)production-oriented approach is beneficial to improve students’ English writing level(content,language use and structure),especially in language use and structure.Students can find their language mistakes and correct,which can make their compositions more standard.Meanwhile,students correct their mistakes on layout in time,which can make their compositions more complete and reasonable.(2)The use of production-oriented approach is good for students’ positive emotional experience of English writing.Students are willing to write.The teacher gives students feedback on excellent compositions in time.Students build writing confidence. |
