Abstract/Summary:
During the Song dynasties,Guangxi rose from a "foreign land" to a "key vassal in the southwest",and Guizhou,as the headquarters of the Guangxi, was governed by the governor of the first state, who held many positions, and after the rebellion of Nong Zhigao in the Northern Song dynasty,he even took charge of the area in the capacity of the governor of the Guangxi. In the Southern Song Dynasty,as a result of the fall of the country, the governor was able to take charge of the region. In the Southern Song Dynasty,as a result of the fall of the country, the Mongolian army carried out the "good-hearted strategy" under the pretext of Dali, and the Guangxi became a front-line war zone.At the same time, due to the special nature of the Guangxi, the Governor of Guizhou had certain diplomatic powers and the right to choose and appoint local officials within its jurisdiction. However, even though the governor of Guizhou had great local autonomy,he was still subject to the strict control of the Song system of supervision,in which the central government and the local supervisors inspected each other to ensure that local power was not abused and that the policies of the central government were implemented through the officials. However, the system was always subject to the influence of a ’network of relationships’,and the monitoring system of the Guizhou Prefecture was not truly effective due to a number of factors. On the other hand, although the Western Road of Guangxi had certain peculiarities in its functions and supervisory system due to its remote location, the fluctuations and changes in the central political situation of the two Song dynasties were also closely related to the local strategic policies of the Guizhou Prefecture, and the constant party disputes in the dynastic situation of the two Song dynasties also profoundly affected the appointment of officials in Guangxi.
