In the oil painting creation,color is the painter’s primary expression method of setting off emotion and transmitting emotion,which has a strong ability of setting off atmosphere and rendering environment,and is an artistic language with strong appeal.As an important part of oil painting creation,the painter can express his inner feelings through the expression of different colors,making the color become a carrier to express the painter’s feelings,thus reflecting different artistic styles,so we can feel the beauty of oil painting art from the rich colors.It can be said that color can fully show the painter’s creative inspiration and intention through the picture.Only by making full use of color can we better create oil paintings.Color has rich expressive and emotional power in oil painting creation.The painter makes good use of his own unique vision to observe the surrounding things,and integrates his own thoughts and ideas into the creation.If the image of oil painting works is compared to a person,color is the blood of the person,and the soul is the painter’s own thoughts and feelings.In the process of painting,through the exploration of color cognition and color psychology,the painter uses color to emphasize the vividness and personality of the picture,so as to express his personal feelings to the audience.Behind a good oil painting is not only the painter’s unique color perception and endless research of color emotion,but also the combination of the painter’s life background,national culture and aesthetic attitude.It can be said that from any point of view,oil painting is inseparable from the emotional expression of color on the screen.Since the change of color,with the continuous exploration of oil painting and the continuous breakthrough of color,more and more people are suffering from the diversified development to break away from the objective color,and the concept of color has changed dramatically.However,due to some people’s psychological problems,leading to the lack of spirit in color,the basic reason is that these people’s understanding and foundation of color are far from in place in color ability and performance.In learning the color experience of our predecessors,we wake up and tap our own interests and directions through their works,which is not imitation,nor grafting,but innovation and breakthrough through our own understanding and feelings.Therefore,the emotional expression of color in oil painting is an important and complex process.This paper will be divided into five parts to study the use of color: First,I introduced the background and significance of color research,Secondly,it expounds the importance of color in oil painting creation and the expression connotation of color.The third part analyzes the reasons for the differences of color in oil painting in different situations.The fourth part analyzes how to transform color into emotion to convey its expression.Finally,using the color emotion analysis of Bonnard,the master of color,to compare the color with the works of painters in different periods.This paper discusses the importance of emotional expression of color in oil painting creation by means of examples and comparison,so as to have a deep understanding of color language expression in oil painting creation,improve artistic accomplishment,and make the work move the audience.
