Nowadays,in our country,there are various styles of vocal music works,which are widely sung by everyone.And folk songs with Lingnan characteristics,such as Cantonese opera style songs,are only circulated in a few areas.It is only popular in Cantonese dialects in Guangdong and Guangxi,and "Ode to Lychee" is one of them.This work was composed by Mr.Chen Guanqing,a famous Cantonese opera composer in Guangdong,in 1956 for the founder of the "Red School" Kwong Jianlian(Red Line Girl)to participate in the Moscow World Youth Festival competition.This article chooses to research and analyze the song "An Ode to Lychee",combing and integrating it through literature study,summarization and other methods.The author chose this song in the master’s degree concert,through theoretical music analysis,combined with singing practice,put forward some of my own opinions on the pronunciation of Cantonese lyrics,as well as the similarities and differences between traditional theater singing and folk singing,forming a better one.It is intended to promote Cantonese opera-style songs,a vocal work with Lingnan ethnic characteristics,to more people,and to inherit and protect this intangible cultural heritage art form within its power.
