| Art songs,highly artistic,are an elegant,noble,and subtle genre of vocal music works.Mélodie in particular are of high academic status and great research value.This ensemble,among numerous regional music cultures,is deeply loved by musicians for its unique style.Reynaldo Hahn(1874-1947),a French composer of Venezuelan origin was one of the most representative French composers of the late 19 th and early 20 th century.During his lifetime,Hahn composed many outstanding musical works,but the most artistic are his Mélodie.His style of creation was also quite influential in France at that time.In this article,the author takes three works of "Dreamland"(Rêverie,1888),"Autumn Song"(Chanson d’automne,1893),and "(?) Chloris"((?) Chloris,1913)as examples to analyze what characteristics are to be grasped in the actual experience of mezzo soprano on singing Hahn’s Mélodie.This article can be divided into four chapters.Chapter 1: Background to Mélodie;Chapter 2: A brief biography of the composer Reynaldo Hahn;Chapter 3: The artistic characteristics of Reynaldo Hahn’s Mélodie;Chapter 4: The summary of the mezzo-sopranos singing Reynaldo Hahn’s Mélodie. |
