Under the guidance of textbook evaluation theory and understandable Chinese input theory,this paper adopts the method of questionnaire survey,and combines with Chinese teaching practice,research the HSK Standard Course(Volumes 1-3)in Indonesia.First of all,this paper introduces the use background of the HSK Standard Course(Volumes 1-3)in Indonesia,focusing on the use environment and user characteristics of the textbook in 10 schools surveyed.Secondly,this paper analyzes the text content of the HSK Standard Course(Volumes 1-3)from three aspects:the compiling concept,the overall structure and the content elements of the textbook.This paper also investigates and studies the applicability of HSK Standard Course(Volumes 1-3)in Indonesia,expounding the background and purpose,objects and methods as well as the design and results of the investigation.On the basis of the concept,evaluation criteria and investigation results of the applicability of textbook in this paper,this paper analyzes the applicability of HSK Standard Course(Volumes 1-3)in Indonesia from the perspectives of textbook and its use environment and users.According to the survey results,it is found that HSK Standard Course(Volumes1-3)is a qualified textbook in 10 schools in Indonesia,which can meet the basic requirements for beginners to learn Chinese.Because the textbook is compiled according to the international general textbook standard,it is not aimed at a certain region.Therefore,the textbook can not meet the requirements of all Indonesian learners in pronunciation arrangement,Chinese and English annotations and activity forms.In addition,there are also some problems in the content and arrangement of textbook,such as the wrong classification of grammar items,the new words and definitions do not correspond to new words in the original text,and the effectiveness of some grammar exercises is not strong.Finally,in order to improve the applicability of HSK Standard Course(Volumes1-3)in Indonesia,this paper puts forward some feasible strategies.On the use of textbook text,this paper suggests that the editor should put the problem of learner concentration in the appendix of textbook.Such as the phonetic differences between Chinese and Indonesian,the main errors of students,etc.Delete or avoid the expression of specialized terms,such as the original meaning of Chinese characters and the extended meaning of some words.Try to select common elements as the content of textbook to improve the closeness between textbook and learners’ life.On the issue of teachers’ use the textbook,this paper suggestes that teachers should combine their professional advantages and communicate with schools on the arrangement of Chinese class hours from the overall perspective of Indonesian students and schools.Teachers should actively change their roles and actively learn Indonesian.In teaching,teachers can combine the local reality and integrate the local life elements into Chinese teaching.On the issue of students’ use the textbook,this paper proposes that students should actively feedback their needs and problems to teachers.Based on the characteristics of Indonesian high school students and college students,this paper suggests that local college students should face up to their difficulties in learning Chinese at first,"break" the silence in classroom learning,and actively participate in teaching activities.
