| Place name is an indispensable part of a language system,it is one of the research objects of linguistics,but also the product of social and historical development to a certain stage.Place names reflect people ’s understanding of the living environment,record people’ s production and life in different historical periods,and are a "living fossil" of a region.Under the representation of language symbols,place names contain rich social and cultural connotation.Handan is a "famous national historical and cultural city".In the long process of development,Handan has bred a profound history and culture,which is a precious spiritual wealth left by its ancestors to future generations.This paper aims to analyze and study Handan place names from the perspective of social linguistics,and explore the language,social and cultural values contained in Handan place names.The full text is divided into six parts.Chapter 1,the research situation of place names is reviewed,introducing the topic selection reasons,research objects,research content,research methods and research significance.Chapter 2,Structural analysis of Handan and the language characteristics of voice and words.Chapter 3,the nomenclature of place names in Handan is classified,and the place names are divided into natural place names and humanistic place names,and the research perspective is divided into natural geographical characteristics and social and cultural characteristics.Chapter 4 analyzes the social culture reflected in Handan place names,the influence of Confucian culture,Taoism,Buddhism,idioms and modern red culture in Handan were studied respectively.Chapter 5 analyzes the necessity of standardizing place names,puts forward the problems in Handan and the constructive opinions on the standardization of Handan.Chapter 6 summarizes the results of the socio-linguistic study of Handan place names. |
