Objective With the effective application of antiretroviral therapy(ART),the difficulty of AIDS treatment is no longer to obtain effective virological inhibition, but to improve the quality of life of patients,so as to achieve the WHO’s proposal that 90%of AIDS patients can obtain the quality of life of normal people. However, mental illness has become the biggest challenge to improve the quality of life of patients. In particular, under the influence of the COVID-19,the status of mental health of this group is still unclear, and the interference factors affecting mental health are even more unclear. Therefore, this study was carried out to understand the mood of AIDS patients in Chongqing under the COVID-19 and the factors affecting the emergence of adverse symptom groups,so as to provide reference for early intervention.Method The AIDS inpatients admitted to the Infection Department of Chongqing Public Health Medical Treatment Center in 2021 were investigated. The general information questionnaire(gender, age, marriage, education level, transmission route, occupation, economic income, medical insurance,AIDS diagnosis and treatment, etc.)and the Profile of Mood States(POMS,a total of 40 items)were used to collect information about patients and assess their emotional status.Summarize and describe the mood state of AIDS patients in this area under the influence of the epidemic situation, and compare and analyze the demographic characteristics and influencing factors of different mood states.Exploratory factor analysis was used to determine the group of patients’ psychological symptoms and analyze the influencing factors of adverse psychological symptoms. Results A total of 151 AIDS inpatients were included, and the survey of mood scale showed that the top ten in the incidence rate were all healthy and positive mood, such as "active, satisfied, confident",all of which were>50%.The two most common negative moods were worry(60.9%)and forgetfulness(55.0%).The total mood disorder(TMD)score of 151 patients fluctuated from 70 to 184,with a median of 95.0(86114)points.Patients with HIV infection caused by gay men’s sexual behavior were more likely to have tense, difficult and uneasy negative emotions than patients with heterosexual transmission(P<0.05).It was found that the negative emotion score of young patients with psychological anxiety was 0.68± 0.855,which was significantly higher than that of middle-aged and elderly people(P<0.05);The three negative emotions of restlessness, amnesia and fatigue in elderly patients were more serious than those in young and middle-aged patients(P<0.05).The self-confident mood score of primary school educated patients was 1.54 ± 1.193,which was significantly lower than that of middle school and college patients, and the symptoms of amnesia and negative emotions were more serious(P<0.05).The patients with an annual income of less than 30,000 had the lowest initiative score(1.78 ± 1.271),and the patients with an annual income of more than 100,000 had three bad moods:listless, angry, and depressed(P<0.05).The score of difficult negative mood in patients receiving ART treatment was 0.48 ±0.795,which was significantly higher than that in patients not receiving ART treatment(0.20±0.495,P<0.05).Exploratory factor analysis found that 151 patients had three psychological symptom groups:healthy positive symptom group, irritable stress symptom group, and depression and burnout symptom group, accounting for 67.5%,26.5%,and 6.0%respectively.Multivariate analysis showed that urban household registration(OR=2.474,95CI%:1.001~6.127)and annual household income ≤30000(OR=2.990,95CI%:1.230~7.270)were related to the irritable stress symptoms of patients. Conclusions The overall mood of AIDS inpatients in Chongqing under the COVID-19 is poor, and worry is the most serious bad mood.HIV infection route, age characteristics, education level, economic status and whether to receive ART treatment are all influencing factors of patients’ mood. The most common group of adverse psychological symptoms is the group of irritability emergency symptoms, whose independent influencing factors are urban household registration and annual family income≤30000.More attention should be paid to the mental health of this high-risk group and early intervention should be carried out.
