With the deepening trend of aging, the elderly care methods are also constantly being optimized and upgraded.Co-design practice,as a way to fully mobilize multiple forces and better solve current complex problems, has penetrated into all aspects of social life."Everyone is a designer" is no longer empty talk.As a highly experienced and intelligent group in society, the elderly often face natural barriers between physiological and psychological decline and design activities. There is a large amount of literature indicating that verbal communication is often misunderstood by design participants, and there is limited information to guide elderly people on how to participate in Co-design.The feasibility development of visual communication design in Co-design has also been analyzed from relevant cases, and more attempts have been made to build on existing theoretical foundations and design achievements. This article focuses on analyzing the visual needs of elderly people using the universal Co-design toolkit, how to better involve and understand each step of design activities, and proposes that in the field of visual communication, this problem can be solved through the use of user guide manuals. The study takes the gradually deepening aging process as the research background, demonstrating the positive impact of elderly people on Co-design,and their desire to participate in the process of social coconstruction;Secondly,by analyzing the special visual physiological characteristics and visual cognitive characteristics of the elderly,as well as adequate visual research of the elderly, the visual needs based on their particularity are obtained. The needs are combined with the functional process of the Co-design universal toolkit, and the visual design principles of legibility, culture, concreteness, and emotion are summarized; The third combination of shaping the virtual IP image innovatively completes the iteration of feasible visual solutions, allowing visual design to be customized according to the process requirements of the toolkit and the learning needs of elderly participants, avoiding a "one size fits all" aging friendly visual design method. In addition, the importance of emphasizing feasibility testing and target audience,as well as the potential use of such testing to optimize visual design solutions for future development, will also be discussed.Exploring how visual design can support an aging population is actually our future self.To meet the diverse and multi-level visual needs of the elderly population with greater initiative and happiness, encourage them to actively participate in social life, and break the barrier of communication with the outside world. |
