With the advent of the digital information age and the fourth Industrial Revolution, the complex information system has more information, more intricate information structure relations, and higher requirements on the operation process. However, due to the limited cognitive resources of operators, the negative impact of cognitive resource overload on the task process has become an important factor limiting the efficient completion of complex information system tasks. However, after analyzing the existing complex information system design considering cognitive psychology,it is found that the existing research is insufficient in distinguishing the differences between attention resources and working memory resources in detail. There are few model results that can realize the quantitative classification of the overload state of the two cognitive resources, and the corresponding design means are more general and lack of purpose. In this context, this study is committed to providing design principles and means from the cognitive level on the basis of distinguishing the overload state of cognitive resources in detail,so as to make the operation process of complex information system more consistent with the cognitive characteristics of operators and further improve the comprehensive performance. The main work of this study is as follows:(1)Establishment of cognitive process model:Based on task requirements, the traditional multi-identity tracking cognitive process model is optimized, and the radar complex information system cognitive process model is further established.(2)The establishment of "cognitive resource overload state classification model":based on the multi-identity tracking paradigm, the multi-task experiment was carried out to analyze the characteristics of cognitive resource allocation and the influence of cognitive resource overload degree on tasks. Moreover, the XGboost model was used to classify the overload state of attention resources and working memory resources with an accuracy of 98%by using the physiological index of eye movement.(3)Deducing "Design Principles of cognitive Contacts to assist rational allocation of cognitive Resources":Based on the analysis resul ts of eye movement data in Experiment 1,the information dimension and design means in complex information system are combined with the basic theory of cognitive resources to provide design principles and design means for the design of complex information system considering rational allocation of cognitive resources, and the optimized scheme is designed for the old version of the system.(4)Establish "adaptive interface distribution system of cognitive resources"and verify its rationality:provide the design method and adaptive strategy of the adaptive interface system, and carry out the multi-task experiment II of radar complex information system with higher ecological validity to verify the effect of cognitive resource support design on improving task performance under different overload states. The experimental results show that targeted supportive design for overloaded cognitive resources has the best effect on improving performance.
