On the basis of inheriting the decorative patterns of the previous dynasty,the geometric patterns of the Song dynasty have made breakthrough achievements in terms of format and theme.The geometric pattern of the color painting in Yingzaofashi presents the characteristics of diversity,and the geometric combination form and the styles of figurative plants,flowers and birds,landscapes,and figures filled in the geometric skeleton have laid the pattern of Chinese decorative pattern,and have a profound influence on the later generations.However,there is a lack of in-depth research on the geometric patterns of Yingzaofashi painting in Song culture.This study takes the geometric pattern of Yingzaofashi painting as the research object,uses the design research method,combined with the relevant theoretical basis of imagography and aesthetic anthropology,and conducts the following research on the pattern development,pattern structure,theme selection,color and aesthetic thinking based on literature and pattern collection:First of all,the historical lineage of Yingzaofashi’s geometric patterns was investigated by means of documentary analysis and graphic evidence,and the geometric patterns of different versions were sorted out.It was found that although there were differences in decorative details between the patterns of the "Tao version" and other versions,the overall composition of the patterns was basically the same;Secondly,using pictorial research to discuss the pattern’s position distribution,unit shape interpretation and pattern structure,and applying computer software to recover the geometric pattern.We analyzed that the unit shape of Yingzaofashi’s geometric pattern has circular type,straight type and square type,and its composition forms are continuous,nested and filled,and the geometric pattern presents the theme of still imagery and still meaning;Next,by clarifying the coloring system of the geometric pattern as colorful loading and grinding jade loading system,collecting relevant color data,combining with literature and relevant theoretical research,compiling and summarizing that the geometric pattern color performance as light and subtle,contrasting,harmonious,and pursuing layers,presenting the Song dynasty geometric pattern color characteristics of light and heavy,full but not overflowing;Finally,further exploration of Yingzaofashi geometric patterns:the occurrence of patterns,function and expression of the aesthetic basis of the beauty of quality;from the Song people’s pursuit of hierarchy and order to see its spiritual core of hierarchy and order;and the aesthetic interest of the Song people in terms of the combination of abstraction and figuration in terms of the way of discernment from intention to philosophy.On the basis of deepening the existing research on Yingzaofashi painting patterns and Song dynasty geometric patterns,this paper explores the aesthetic thinking of Song dynasty from the perspective of Song dynasty geometric patterns,provides an in-depth understanding of Song dynasty aesthetic thinking and artistic characteristics,improves the theoretical system of Song dynasty aesthetic culture,explores how Song dynasty Song dynasty aesthetic thinking influenced the creation of objects,and provides a theoretical basis for the creative transformation and modernization of Song dynasty geometric patterns.It provides a theoretical basis for the creative transformation and modern application of geometric patterns in the Song dynasty.
