Research On Design Of Surrealist Visual Expression In Children’s Picture Books

With the development of the times,parents have gained a new understanding of early childhood education,paying more attention to the cultivation of children’s creativity,imagination,and learning abilities.The characteristic of children’s picture books mainly based on pictures can cultivate their reading ability and subtly develop their imagination and innovation.In this demand,in-depth exploration of the ideological connotations of excellent art can help children improve cognitive development.As a bright pearl in the history of western art,Surrealism has unique visual characteristics such as fantasy and strangeness,which are rich in visual expression such as novelty and imagination,and has good compatibility with the beauty,fantasy and imagination pursued by children’s picture books.Therefore,it is necessary to study Surrealism children’s picture books that contain imagination,innovation and fantasy.This paper deeply explores the communication methods,expression techniques and visual illusion characteristics of Surrealism visual art,takes the design of children’s picture books as the research object,and aims to enrich the combination of children’s picture books and excellent visual art,mainly focusing on the design application of Surrealism visual expression in children’s picture books.First,using the literature analysis method,based on the research of Surrealism visual art and children’s picture books,investigate the literature related to Surrealism and children’s picture books,analyze the advantages of combining Surrealism visual performance with children’s picture books,and elaborate the purpose and significance of applying Surrealism visual performance to children’s picture book design;Secondly,using the Case study method and the inductive summary method,through the analysis of excellent children’s picture book cases,we summarized the commonalities and characteristics of the cases,and summarized the design principles of the image modeling,picture environment,and related elements of surrealist children’s picture book design,as well as the design methods of surrealist visual expression in children’s picture books,including the addition and subtraction of role images,the simulation of scene objects,and the element relationship framework;Finally,using the design practice method,by applying the design principles and methods of Surrealism children’s picture books to the design practice of children’s picture books,verify the feasibility of the design principles and methods from practice,show the design process of universal Surrealism children’s picture books,and provide a new direction and new reference for the design of children’s picture books that inspire children’s creative thinking.
