Research On Literary Activities In Shangjing During The Jin Dynasty

Shangjing was the capital of the early Jin Dynasty(1115-1153),serving as the political,economic,and cultural center.In the past 40 years,Shangjing has gathered a large number of literati and scholars with its advantage as a capital,and has radiated around with its political and cultural advantages,forming a literary activity circle centered around Shangjing.In the context of the era of "borrowing talents to create new generations",Shangjing writers represented by Yuwen Xuzhong,Wu Ji,Cai Songnian,Jin Xizong,Hailing Wang,and others,on the one hand,wrote their own emotional worlds in poetry and prose,leaving behind many valuable literary works;On the other hand,they collectively created a prosperous atmosphere in the literary world of Shangjing through their literary activities that were full of life and passion,such as collecting and singing,appreciating poetry and essays,and engaging in poetry and wine.As the Wen Zong of the early Jin Dynasty,Yuwen Xuzhong’s works express the emotional tendencies of poets who borrowed talents from different generations.They can be summarized as follows: patriotism,the idea of seclusion,and the charm of poetry and wine.The great master of the "Wu Cai style",Wu Ji,is slightly different from the sorrows and sorrows of the Yuwen Xu Zhong Qing Zhuang.With his strong and clear,generous and desolate style,as well as his passionate and straightforward style,he showcases the diverse characteristics of the Shangjing literary style.Cai Songnian transformed the longing for his homeland in Wu Ji’s poetry into returning home and seclusion,further generalizing the strong political significance of his homeland.It is precisely this transformation that comprehensively responds to the pursuit and ideals of the new lifestyle,cultural psychology,literary realm,and aesthetic taste of the literati of the Jin Dynasty,giving the "Wu Cai style" the ideological thickness,artistic mode,aesthetic pursuit,and life significance of an original generation of ci style.During the reign of Emperor Xizong of Jin,the Jin people created Jurchen script,implemented and improved the imperial examination system,absorbed and integrated advanced Central Plains culture,and created the initial social and cultural field for the development of early Jin literature.As a generation leader with strong political aspirations,Prince Wanyan Liang of Hailing wrote "I write my heart by hand".His passionate,generous,and vigorous Northern style of writing had an important exemplary effect on Shangjing literature,establishing the Northern temperament of Jin Yuan literature.At the same time,his social activities with scholars such as Yuwen Xuzhong,Cai Songnian,and Yang Boxiong contributed directly or indirectly to the prosperity of Shangjing literature and the construction of the literary team.Overall,the literary activities of Jin Shangjing have the characteristics of "borrowing talents from different generations" and multi-ethnic interaction and mutual construction,laying the foundation for the development of Jin literature.Specifically,the literary activities in Shangjing have many characteristics,such as long duration,wide geographical area,multi-ethnicity,and high starting point.The different cultural identities,survival situations,emotional attitudes,and ideal aspirations of writers have created a literary landscape of this period without a main theme,identity,and diverse genres.It can be said that the Shangjing literary activity constructed the most important literary geographical map of early Jin literature,becoming an important observation point for us to investigate the scene of Jin Yuan literature and deeply understand Jin Dynasty literature today.
