In the year of 2022,South Korea’s exports to China amounted to as much as $155.8 billion(approximately 208 trillion Korean won),while China’s exports to South Korea reached$164.1 billion(approximately 219 trillion Korean won).Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea in 1992,China has been a significant economic and trade partner for South Korea,maintaining its position as the top trading partner for the country.Hence,China is not only an attractive market but also an indispensable trading nation for South Korea.In international trade,language is a crucial factor that determines the success of trade negotiations.This is no exception for the exchange of goods and services between China and South Korea.Therefore,Korean companies often consider Chinese language proficiency as a vital qualification when recruiting talent.Understanding business practices,language,and living information in China will provide a foundation for those who aspire to become businesspeople in the era of global competition.Therefore,the aim of this study is to propose an optimization plan for teaching business Chinese effectively to Korean learners for economic and trade purposes.To obtain effective results,this study conducted three surveys for analysis.Firstly,a survey was conducted by collecting and analyzing recruitment information from Korean companies to identify the demand,target level,and job content of future Korean-Chinese companies.Secondly,a questionnaire survey and interviews were carried out to analyze the work situation of Korean-Chinese economic and trade personnel in their work.Finally,an analysis of mainstream Korean business Chinese language textbooks was conducted to identify existing issues with the current textbooks.This study proposes different teaching optimization schemes for learning purposes and career development,and provides refined teaching optimization schemes for professionals in different levels of the workplace who have career development as their goal.In addition,this study is based on the research results of the textbook based on the suggestions of textbook improvement.The study suggests that by providing Chinese language teachers for business purposes with teaching plans to enhance learners’ practical abilities.the quality of Korean business Chinese talent development can be significantly improved,meeting the demand for business Chinese talent in the economic and trade fields between China and South Korea in the new era.
