| The Chinese rat culture has a long history and a profound symbolism and connotation.In ancient times,the rat was known to mankind as food,and because of its powerful reproductive capacity,the image of the rat was given a connotation of fertility worship,which was the basis for its evolution into a cultural symbol.In its subsequent development,the image of the rat was supported by the culture of fertility worship,actively absorbing the best of foreign cultures an d adapting them locally,incorporating local cultural content with Chinese characteristics.Since then,the image of the rat has evolved from a single cultural core of fertility worship to a cultu re of blessing represented by the folkloric "rat marrying a daughter" and a culture of praying fo r wealth represented by the "gods of the hamlet" and "the god of Tibet".The development of th e Chinese rat culture is rooted in the folklore of the rat marrying its daughter.The development of the Chinese rat culture is rooted in folk culture and has led to a variety of expressions in thi s field,giving rise to many popular themes.Through research,it is evident that Chinese folk art and design categories of the rat image are not well covered in China,and are mostly represented by modern design techniques,neglecting the application of Chinese folk art expressions in design.The cultural connotations of the Chinese folk rat image are collated and the three cultural cores of fertility worship culture,blessing culture and wealth prayer culture are extracted and used as the basis for subsequent design practice.The design expression is dedicated to exploring an effective path for the integration of modern design and Chinese folk art.In the process,the design will create a rich and appropriate image of the rat,contributing to the historical preservation,visual translation and cultural continuity of Chinese folk images of the rat. |
