Research On Icon Design Of Visual Guide System

Long before the advent of language and writing,the ancestors designed many pictorial marks in order to transmit information in production labor and social activities,and the purpose of painting at that time was not to appreciate beauty,but as a medium of communication,which is the icon in the most primitive sense.Nowadays,with the rapid development of science and technology,the pace of society is accelerating,and the functions and application scenarios of icons are gradually diversified.Different categories of icons can use their unique visual language to guide and influence the behavior of the public in different occasions,and can also display some information that cannot be accurately conveyed by words or words in some special environments.However,no matter how the era and scene change,the most important function of the icon is mainly to indicate and guide.When providing guidance to people,icons can simplify complex information and make the content of the guide more recognizable.Therefore,as a medium for visual communication of information in the guidance system,its indicative and identifying features can assist the guidance system to better provide services for users,for example,the guide icon can help tourists accurately identify part of the tour information in the complex environment of the garden scenic area.In recent years,China’s tourism industry has flourished,and major scenic spots are also constantly improving their service levels,among which the establishment and improvement of the guidance system has also become a key issue for the upgrading and transformation of the scenic spot service system.The case study in this paper,Chengde Mountain Resort,is the largest existing royal garden in the world.The whole park is grand in scale,with many buildings and roads.As a silent tour guide,the guide can lead visitors through the complex environment of the park with ease and smoothness.As an important part of the guide,the icon can help the summer resort guide play the most important guiding function.Therefore,in this study,the author will discuss the theory of the design and construction of guide signs using Chengde Mountain Resort as an example.On the other hand,through the design works,the new methods and new paths of guide mark design are explored,and this provides valuable results for the theoretical research of guide mark design.
