As a digital electronic instrument of the twenty-first century,the double-key electronic piano is capable of storing the sounds of a wide range of instruments and has a wealth of expressive power.The fourth movement of the "From the New World" symphony,composed by Dvorak in 1893 during his teaching career in the United States,covers the themes of the previous three movements and is the climax and conclusion of the work,which was adapted for double keyboard electronics by the Japanese virtuoso Takaaki Iwasaki.This paper combines theory and practice to illustrate the musical treatment of the work on the double-key electronic keyboard by analysing the structure of the piece,its adaptation for double-key electronic keyboard,and performance techniques to further delve into the performance techniques of symphonic music on the double-key electronic keyboard and to provide help in improving one’s professionalism.
