Academic engagement is a positive, energetic, and functional state of mind associated with learning, and includes the three characteristics of energy, dedication, and focus.A growth mindset is a mindset that is different from a fixed mindset.People with a growth mindset believe that a person’s intelligence, talents, and strengths can be developed and improved through their unremitting efforts. This kind of thinking mode can stimulate the individual’s love for learning and cultivate their toughness. This study uses a questionnaire survey method to explore the impact of college students’ growth mindset on learning engagement, and further examines the mediating role of positive emotions and the moderating role of stress perception in the process of influence,in order to reveal the internal impact of college students’ growth mindset on learning engagement.Mechanism.This research takes 680 undergraduates of Jilin University as the research objects, and adopted the "growth mindset scale","academic engagement scale","positive emotion scale" and "stress perception scale" revised by Chinese psychologists and widely used in college students as research tools, and SPSS22.0 is used to conduct common method deviation test, descriptive statistical analysis, independent sample t test,one-way ANOVA,correlation analysis, regression analysis, mediation effect and moderating effect test on the collected data. After processing with statistical methods, the following research results were obtained:1.The growth mindset of college students is at the upper-middle level;there is a significant difference in gender, the score of girls is significantly higher than that of boys;there is a significant difference in whether the only child is or not,the score of non-only children is significantly higher than that of only children;there is a significant difference in grades Difference, the scores from high to bottom are:freshman,senior,junior,sophomore.2.The academic investment of college students is at an upper-middle level;there is a significant difference in gender, and the score of girls is significantly higher than that of boys;there is a significant difference in grades, and the scores from high to bottom are: senior year, freshman year, sophomore year, and junior year..3.The positive emotions of college students are at the upper-middle level;there is a significant difference in whether the only child is an only child, the score of non-only child is significantly higher than that of an only child;there is a significant difference in grades, the scores from high to bottom are: senior year, freshman year,Sophomore and junior.4.The stress perception of college students is at an upper-middle level;there are significant differences in grades, and the scores from high to bottom are: junior, sophomore, freshman, and senior year.5.The growth mindset of college students has a positive impact on academic engagement, that is,the higher the level of growth mindset of college students, the higher the level of academic engagement.6.Positive emotions play a partial mediating role in the influence of college students’ growth mindset on academic engagement, which is shown as follows:college students’ growth mindset has a positive impact on positive emotions, and then improves the level of academic engagement through positive emotions.7.Stress perception plays a moderating role in the impact of college students’ positive emotions on academic engagement. It is mainly manifested in that stress perception negatively regulates the impact of college students’ positive emotions on academic engagement. That is,compared with college students with high stress perception, positive emotions have a negative effect on academic engagement. The impact of stress perception on the academic investment of college students is more significant. The above research results show that the growth mindset of college students will affect their academic engagement by affecting their positive emotions, and there are differences in the impact of their growth mindset on their academic engagement among college students with different levels of stress perception.Based on the above conclusions, this study believes that the academic investment of college students can be improved from the perspective of cultivating a growth mindset and increasing positive emotions.
