Chinese ancient rites have many names and huge systems, the most important of which is "Sacrificial rites"."Sacrificial rites" are not only valued by the ancient society, but also play a significant role in the Book of Rites of Xiao Dai in the classic of Confucianism. The Book of Rites focuses on the interpretation of rites, while the elaborate rites of sacrifice focus on the humanistic spirit behind them.At present, the academic research on The Book of Rites and sacrificial rites is quite fruitful, but the special research on the concept of sacrificial rites in The Book of Rites is relatively weak.Using the method of combining ideological history and social history, this paper investigates The Book of Rites in the background of the pre-Qin period.Through the discussion of sacrificial rites,in order to enhance the perception of the spirit of rites, the humanistic characteristics of the sacrificial concept of "Book of Rites" are highlighted. The concept of sacrificial rites in The Book of Rites originated from the concept of "all things have spirits" in early human society. The witchcraft rites of yin and Shang Dynasties laid the foundation of the sacrificial rites of the Zhou Dynasty, and showed the characteristics of decreasing religion and gradually highlighting humanity in the Western Zhou Dynasty.During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, the rituals of sacrificial sacrifices increased or decreased, and various scholars had different concepts of sacrifice, but the sacrifice itself was not criticized or directly denied."Baoben Fanshi" and "Jing" are the core spirits of the sacrificial rites in The Book of Rites, which are the prominent characteristics of the sacrificial rites in The Book of Rites, especially the expression of gratitude, remembrance and reverence to the ancestors.Through the study of the concept of "Sacrificial vessel" in The Book of Rites,it is proposed that the author of The Book of Rites has transformed the mysterious symbolic meaning of "connection between man and God",and regarded the sacrifices and utensils offered to the gods as the way for "man" to achieve virtue in reality. The essence of "humanity" in the concept of sacrifice rites in The Book of Rites,"Jing" is the internal emotion of "filial piety",which extends from "filial piety" to "teaching" to the Enlightenment of group society. The ultimate ideal of the concept of sacrifice rites in The Book of Rites is to realize "harmony" and pursue the harmony between man and nature. At the same time, the sacrificial rites concept in The Book of Rites can provide useful reference and help for the theoretical exploration and practical promotion of modern sacrificial ceremony reform. The humanistic spirit of the concept of sacrifice rites in The Book of Rites is not only the innovation of religious sacrifice since Yin and Zhou dynasties, but also the summary of the sacrificial culture from pre-Qin to Qin and Han dynasties,as well as the foundation of the later Chinese sacrificial culture. The Book of Rites is regarded as "the book of ten thousand years" by later scholars, which has its profound significance."Time is the most important thing in rites" is to emphasize the "appropriate" of rites, the core spirit of the concept of sacrifice rites in The Book of Rites is "Baoben Fanshi" and "Jing",which is the original intention of mankind that has not changed since ancient times.
