Black Athleticism In The Twenty-First Century America. & Anti-Racism

Due to the unremitting endeavor of black athletes and the positive influence of the change of time,black athleticism has obtained new development in the 21^st century U.S.African Americans have always shouldered the huge pressure that came with the history,and they have been treated unequally both in sports world and in the larger society.Nevertheless,athleticism has been praised for a really long time.Therefore,the term black athleticism itself is a paradox.In the 21st century,when American black athletes compete on the sports field,they actively or spontaneously contribute to the meaning of black athleticism.Black athleticism in the U.S.has a positive impact on anti-racial movements in the 21^st century.This thesis makes the following arguments:First,black athleticism in the 21^stcentury helps reshape race identity.Black athletes have established a new positive image of themselves thanks to their continuous efforts and the benefits of this era.Second,black athleticism in the 21^st century helps redefine relations between races.Not only have black athletes gained higher positions in sports world,but they have also become celebrity and idols in the society.Becoming the representatives of the United States also in turn makes an influence in the domestic relation between races.Third,black athleticism in the 21^st century helps reinforce political ideals.Black athletes voice their concern through the platform of professional sports.They also make use of their widespread popularity to support anti-racism movements.
