Style is the mark of a text that distinguishes it from other texts, and it is essentially important to reproduce the style of the original text in the translated version. As a bridge between linguistics and literary criticism, stylistics explores how a work produces and enhances thematic meaning and artistic effects through specific choices of language.Literary stylistics requires the translator to reproduce the artistic effects of the original text based on an understanding of its style,so that the readers of the translated version can have the same aesthetic effects as the readers of the original do.In this translation report, the author seeks to analyze and reproduce the thematic meaning and artistic effect of the original text under the guidance of literary stylistics.Stylistic Deviation means that the literary expression in the original text deviates from common practice,so when translating, attention should be paid to highlighting these deviations of the original text in order to reproduce its thematic meaning and aesthetic value. The phenomenon of “deceptive equivalence” should be paid attention to so as not to overlook the thematic meaning and aesthetic value conveyed by deviations of the original text. The translation report is divided into four parts. In the first part, the significance of the text, the general information about the text and the general content and chapters of this report have been explained.Next, the concept of literary stylistics is overviewed, the application of literary stylistics in translation is explained, and the stylistic features of the text, especially the translated chapters, will be enumerated,as well as the main concept of literary stylistics. In the third part, detailed stylistic analysis should be rendered at lexical, grammatical, semantic and register levels, and the process of how it is translated will be given.Last but not least,a summary of the problems and solutions arising in the translation is presented,as well as a reflection and conclusion on the limitations of this translation practice. |
