| Krzysztof Penderecki(1933-2020)was a pioneering composer who emerged in the second half of the 20 th century and one of the founders of the "Polish Music".This article takes Penderecki’s Symphony No.1 as the object of study, takes the "structural force" of the music as the starting point, and studies the "force" formed by the interaction of various elements to guide the work. The essay is divided into three main parts: the introduction, the body, and the conclusion. The introductory chapter discusses the current state of research and the research methodology of the thesis.Chapter 1,"Penderecki and Structural Force," explains the basic concepts of composer, work, and structural force;Chapter 2,"The Structural Power of the Musical Elements of the First Symphony",explores the musical elements presented in the work with structural power in a layered analysis, from the superficial to the deep, according to the relevant theory of structural power;Chapter 3,"The Interrelationship of the Structural Forces of the Work," provides a summary of the interrelationship between the structural elements and a further understanding of the logical composition of the macro and micro structures. The three chapters analyze the work in a step-by-step manner, resulting in a three-dimensional "structural force diagram" with "horizontal-vertical-vertical" as a whole. Conclusion Based on the above study,by applying the theory of structural forces,we not only have a new knowledge of the structural composition of Penderecki’s Symphony No.1,but also have a reference role in the analysis and composition of modern works in multiple genres by using a small perspective. |
