| The Barber of Seville,an opera written by the famous Italian composer Rossini in the first half of the 19 th century, has a high artistic research value due to its dramatic storyline and vivid characters, and is also one of the classics in the history of European opera with a high number of performances and attendance. The aria sung by Rosina,an important character in the opera,is loved by the public for its beautiful melody, its gorgeous and varied floral notes and its emotions of love and hate. The author,as a florid soprano, has sung this aria many times at different times during her seven years of vocal studies. In the process of singing it,through reading relevant books and materials, viewing images of complete operas performed by different singers from various periods, and browsing videos of teachers and students singing it in various professional colleges and universities in China,I have discovered a phenomenon worth thinking about: singers will base their original vocal melodies on their own vocal conditions In this paper,we take a look at the opera’s complete performances by opera singers, and at the videos of students and teachers from professional schools in China. This paper takes Rosina’s aria from the opera The Barber of Seville,The Beautiful Song Floats in the Wind,as the object of study.Firstly, through documentary research and information research methods, relevant domestic and international literature and score examples are collected to gain an in-depth understanding of the composer’s background, the plot of the opera, the relationship between the characters and the structure of the piece.Secondly,by watching and analysing the video material of the arias sung by singers Callas,Grubelova and Bartoli and comparing them,it is concluded that the reason for their different singing characteristics is due to the cultural background of their lives, voice characteristics and other factors.By combining their own singing practice and experience, they analyse the more difficult singing techniques in arias and propose solutions to this difficulty, including correct Italian pronunciation, analysis of melody and accompaniment and accurate expression of the emotion of the work, thus helping later singers to express their own unique expression of the work’s singing characteristics accurately when singing it. |
