With the holding of the National New Concept Writing Contest, the “post-80s”writers have made their appearance, which has became an important phenomenon in the new century literature. After ten years, the “post-80s” writers have been constantly differentiated and reorganized.Among them, some writers are moving closer to Serious Literature through transformation or precipitation in literature. It is undeniable that the “post-80s” writers are becoming an important creative force in Chinese literature.Historical narrative is an important aspect of the creation of the“post-80s” writers, but it don’t actually get much attention.First of all,the “post-80s” writers mainly explain the meaning of life of individuals in history, showing a writing tendency of “non-heroic”.They advocate“secularized writing”,“daily writing” and “personalized writing”,and focus on describing what the ordinary daily life is.They describe the loneliness and trauma of their growth during the implementation of the “one child policy”.They take people’s desires as parts of daily lives and describe the generational differences with their parents.Secondly, the “post-80s” writers are good at using different perspectives to narrate history, using the perspective of children to describe the unique rural scenes and using multiple narratives to develop a variety of statements about history while retrospecting history, for objectively presenting history. Then the “post-80s” writers are good at using a variety of writing strategies, for example using plot omission and summary narrative to make the historical time and space wider, using psychological pauses and scene descriptions to enrich the connotative space of the text,so as to form a tight narrative rhythm and so on.Furthermore, due to the lack of collective experience, the “post-80s” writers have to construct historical space by imagination. The use of metaphorical rhetoric in the text enables a close union of the past and the present. The integrate regional custom descriptions helps to expand the meaning space. And various genres are used in the text to reinforce the the historical reality and solidity. There are some weak points in the works of the “post-80s”writers,for example, they narrate history relying on limited experience and imagination which easily leads to the repetitive narratives. And too much emphasis are placed on narrative forms without the core output of historical concepts. What’s more, their historical statements are too conservative and so on.The historical narrative of the “post-80s” writers is not mature enough, but it shows a kind of new historical concept and historical consciousness which are distinguished from other writers.
