Before modern times,the handicrafts of China and Japan showed their ill-fated destiny in the centuries-old national encounter.After about 180 years of development,Japan has become a big handicraft country,and has achieved remarkable results in the protection of handicraft culture.There are many places for our country to learn and learn from.Based on this,this research will be based on the history and the present,using a combination of vertical and horizontal comparisons,to conduct a comparative study on the history,policies and regulations,and ideological changes of the protection of handicraft culture in China and Japan.To explore the similarities and differences in the history and ideology of handicraft culture protection between China and Japan,in order to better understand the situation faced by Chinese handicraft culture.By sorting out the historical development,policies and regulations of the protection of handicraft culture in China and Japan,it is found that it presents different development characteristics in different historical stages: from 1840 to 1912,showing the difference between the germination and awakening of protection consciousness;1912From 1945 to 1945,it showed the difference between the initial formation of the protection thought and the gradual maturity;after the Second World War to the end of the 20 th century,the difference between the accelerated construction and the gradual improvement of the protection system;It shows the difference between the continuous highlighting of "Chinese characteristics" in protection policies and the promotion of international cooperation.The historical fact of the protection of handicraft culture is the history of the occurrence,development and evolution of ideas and concepts,and ideas are the forerunners of actions.In the comparison of the protection and ideology of handicraft culture between China and Japan,it is found that the ideological dimensions of China and Japan have commonalities,namely: continuous thinking,adjustment and innovation;moving towards the concept of systematic protection.At the same time,it also recognizes the differences in the ideological dimension of the two countries: the difference in cognition of "craftsmanship",Japan’s cognition of "craftsmanship" is more rational and comprehensive than my country’s;the emphasis on "tradition" and Respecting differences,Japan attaches greater importance to and respects unity than my country;with respect to differences in attitudes to "innovation",Japan tends to drive innovation with protection,while my country tends to drive protection with innovation.
