Research On Visual Expression Of Documentary In Ethnic Minority Subject

With the rapid development of modern media technology and the increasing progress of visual culture,ethnic minority documentary,as a carrier of ethnic culture,has the function of depicting cultural inheritance and changes.The inheritance and fusion of ethnic culture has become the core issue of this type of documentary.Ethnic minority documentary is an interdisciplinary subject which combines ethnography,traditional culture and social life under the guidance of the theory of anthropology of film and television.It has a high academic value.The paper takes Oroqen culture as the starting point of the documentary,through recording the life states of its typical residents,along with their thoughts toward their own culture,the documentary aims to study how the ethnic minority theme documentary interpreting the connotation of minority images except cultural dirge theme within a certain cultural space,based on the current minority documentary development direction.Based on the methodology of film and television anthropology,the paper observes the evolution of Oroqen minority’s life in changing times,selects representative individual narrative objects as the protagonists,and expresses the material life and spiritual life of the three generations of Oroqen cultural inheritors,including traditional costumes of Oroqen ethnic group,religion and music which highlight the theme of the film from the comparison of life styles and ideas between characters of different ages,and excavates the marks left by their traditional culture.In addition,the paper analyzes the documentary’s recording perspective of the central Plains ecological landscape of Oroqen,explores how the film reflecting the harmonious portrayal of human and nature in audio-visual language,and how the media avoiding excessive otherness.The paper discusses the expression of the ethnic symbols of the ethnic minority in a balanced way to the maximum extent,reflecting the regional cultural characteristics and cross-cultural artistic expression,showing the story of the folk life of Oroqen compatriots across the times and deeply expressing the cultural inheritance and changes hidden behind the documentary images.
