Reserach On The Image Of The Relic Container In The Middle Ages

The images in the relic containers have been studied by scholars in terms of subject matter,artistic style,etc.However,the functions of images and the performance in the burial space need to be further studied.In the context of the research on the relic burial system,this paper selects The image in the relic container,focusing on its role,trying to explore the role of specific image combinations.This article roughly discusses the following aspects:Firstly,the unearthed situation of the relic container is counted,and the relic burial phenomenon is analyzed in combination with the social background,and the images of the relic container are classified and arranged.Then,taking the orientation feature of the image of the relic container as the starting point,the function of the image in the relic container is discussed.The relationship between the image of the relic container and the burial space is discussed,and it is believed that the image in the relic container has two functions of sacrificial worship and display.Finally,the typical theme of Emperor Shah Brahma’s ceremony to Buddha is selected,and the expression of the image of Emperor Shah Brahma in the relic container is analyzed.Emperor Shah Brahma is often represented in the relic container in the image of an emperor,which is related to the evolution of the emperor’s belief in society.This paper counts the image combinations of the Buddha worship queue and the door that we have seen so far.The Buddha worship queue in the image of Disha Brahma has a special relationship with the image of the door.The direction of the Buddha worship queue is all toward the door,which shows that the worship Buddha queue has the meaning of receiving.
