| As a difficult grammar project for middle school students,restrictive attributive clauses can be explained by the perceptual difficulty hypothesis and the structural distance hypothesis.This study attempts to use dynamic cues to attenuate the perceived difficulty and structural distance that students experience when learning the grammar project,thus promoting students’ understanding and output of the grammar project.At present,few scholars at home and abroad can study the learning of restricted attributive clauses from the perspective of the dynamic cue representation in the multimedia learning environment.To this end,univariate experiments were designed and two studies were developed to explore the optimal presentation of dynamic multimedia representations of cues that promote restricted relative clauses learning.In the first study,four experiments were conducted on four types of SS,SO,OS and OO.The experimental independent variables are the dynamic sentence structure mark,which include two levels,namely “simple dynamic sentence structure mark” and“complex dynamic sentence structure mark”,and the experimental dependent variables are the test results corresponding to SS,SO,OS,and OO and the subjective selfevaluation scale of cognitive load.The results have shown that there are significant intergroup differences of all at the comprehension,and there are significant inter-group differences in SO,OS,OO but SS at the outputting,and there is no any significant intergroup difference in either extrinsic or germane cognitive load in the four experiments.The first study has shown that the complex dynamic sentence structure identification has good potential advantages in promoting the comprehension and outputting of restrictive relative clauses,and meanwhile has good robustness.In the second study,four experiments were conducted on four types of SS,SO,OS and OO.The experimental independent variable is the dynamic sentence structure mapping,which includes two levels,namely “simple dynamic sentence structure mapping”and “complex dynamic sentence structure mapping”,and the experimental dependent variables are the test results corresponding to SS,SO,OS,and OO and the subjective selfevaluation scale of cognitive load.The results have shown there are significant intergroup differences in SO,OS,OO at the comprehension and SS in edge significant difference,and there are significant inter-group differences in SS and OS but SO and OO at the outputting,and there is no any significant inter-group difference in either extrinsic or germane cognitive load in the four experiments.The second study has shown that the complex dynamic sentence structure mapping has good potential advantages in promoting the comprehension and outputting of restrictive relative clauses,and the robustness advantages in comprehension is better than in outputting. |
