In 1980,Poetry Periodical held the first Poetry Seminar of Young Poets,and by 2021 it had already held 37 editions,making a remarkable contribution to the development of contemporary poetry.This article takes the poems published in the columns of the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets and poetic activities held by the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets in the 21st century as a whole,and examines the column,composition and selection methods,poems of the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets in the 21st century,and interaction with poetic trends in the 21st century.This paper is a comprehensive study of the development of poems in the 21st century and the influence of the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets on the contemporary poetry.This article consists of five parts:a general overview of the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets column and other related columns,the aesthetic characteristics of the poetry selected for the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets,the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets and the interaction with the 21st century poetic trends,and the contributions and shortcomings of the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets in the 21st century.The first chapter looks at the format of the columns and composition century poetry shifts from an emphasis on everyday experience to public life,reflecting the realism of the 21st century poetry.This chapter is concerned with the connections and interactions between the three on the basis of case studies,in an attempt to present the diverse ecological scene of contemporary poetry.The third chapter focuses on the interaction between the Poetry Seminar of Young Poets and the poetry trends of the 21st century,taking the two poetry trends of colloquial poems writing and underclass poetry writing as examples,and discusses the role of the Poetry Seminar of Young
