Research On The Concept Of "Simulacrum" Of Baudrillard

With the rapid development of information technology and mass media,the image production capacity has gradually enhanced,and the density has continued to increase in the current social form.From counterfeiting reality to obscuring reality,and then completely disconnected from reality,the object is merged in the image and disappears in the closed loop of symbol exchange.For Jean Baudrillard,such codes that deviate from real reference,self-replicate,infinitely value-added and interchangeable will gradually prompt the reality to fall,the public is dissipated as a "silent majority",This is the concept of "simulacrum" which is the core of Baudrillard’s theoretical chain.For this concept,this paper mainly starts from three aspects.First of all,the paper focuses on the theoretical origin of the concept of "simulacrum" from the historical dimension in order to anchor the historical coordinates of the concept of "simulacrum",including tracing the concept from the etymological point of view of English,Latin and Greek,sorting out the evolution of the concept of Plato,Nietzsche,Deleuze,Foucault and others in the western history and analyzing the historical context and generating dynamics.Secondly,taking the text generation of the concept of "simulacrum" as a clue to make a deep perspective of the subjectivity framework of the concept(the imitation stage under the rule of natural law-the production stage under the rule of commodity law-the simulation stage under the rule of structural law-the stage of viral fragmentation).At the same time,from the perspective of implosion and hyperreality,we will further grasp the operating mechanism and the heterogeneity of the concept.Thirdly,there’s a reflection on the concept of simulacrum at the theoretical and practical levels,it not only inherits and transcends the theoretical discourse in history,but also realizes the reversal of the traditional view of truth from the perspective of post-semiotics,however,it also inevitably has defects such as technical determinism and historical nihilism at the same time.At the practical level,taking Disneyland,America and science fiction movie series as examples will help us to evaluate the explanatory power of the simulacrum discourse objectively.Finally,based on the Chinese context,this paper examines the vitality of "simulacrum" discourse and makes a summary.How effective the concept of "simulacrum" is to explain,where it will eventually go,and how we can break through its limitations,will still be a topic worthy of further study in the future.
