| Objective To investigate the levels of interleukin-6(IL-6),hepatocyte growth factor(HGF)and vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)in the atrial fluid of patients with diabetic retinopathy(DR),and to analyze their correlation with DR,in order to provide new ideas for the prevention and treatment of DR.Methods Forty-nine inpatients(49 eyes)with type 2 diabetes admitted to the ophthalmology department of the First Hospital of Jiamusi University from December 2021 to December 2022 were selected for the study,and the diagnosis and staging were confirmed by the same ophthalmologist through slit lamp,fundoscopy,and fluorescein fundus angiography.The experimental group was divided into 33 cases(33 eyes)in the diabetic retinopathy(DR)group and 16 cases(16 eyes)in the non-diabetic retinopathy(NDR)group(combined with other ophthalmic diseases),in which the DR group was divided into 17 cases(17 eyes)in the proliferative diabetic retinopathy(PDR)group and 16 cases(16 eyes)in the non-proliferative diabetic retinopathy(NPDR)group according to the degree of lesion.Fifteen patients(15 eyes)with age-related cataracts who were to undergo cataract surgery at the same time were used as the control group.The levels of IL-6,HGF and VEGF in the atrial fluid of each group were measured by double antibody sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA),and their correlation with DR was investigated.Results 1.The differences were not statistically significant and were comparable(P>0.05).2.ELISA results showed that the expression levels of IL-6 in the atrial fluid of patients in DR,NDR and control groups were 331.36±96.61,161.15±30.66,93.07±15.11pg/ml,the expression levels of HGF were 580.10±169.80,367.02±98.45,243.12±83.13pg/ml,and the expression levels of VEGF were 388.99±114.55,231.69±27.85,144.39±21.56pg/ml.The levels of IL-6,HGF and VEGF in atrial fluid in the DR group were significantly higher than those in the NDR group and the control group,and the NDR group was significantly higher than the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).3.ELISA results showed that the expression levels of IL-6 in atrial fluid of patients in the PDR and NPDR groups were392.75±89.79,266.13±50.02pg/ml,the expression levels of HGF were 671.22±136.78,483.28±148.81pg/ml,and the expression levels of VEGF were 479.68±80.58,292.64±42.95pg/ml.The levels of IL-6,HGF and VEGF in atrial fluid in the PDR group were significantly higher than those in the NPDR group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).4.Pearson correlation analysis showed that IL-6 levels in atrial fluid in the PDR group were positively correlated with HGF and VEGF(r>0.5,P<0.05),which was statistically significant,and IL-6 levels in atrial fluid in the NPDR group were positively correlated with HGF and VEGF(r>0.5,P<0.05),which was statistically significant.Conclusions 1.The expression levels of IL-6,HGF and VEGF in atrial fluid of DR patients showed an increasing trend,and the more severe the disease,the greater the increase,which may play an important role in the development and progression of DR.2.In the atrial fluid of DR patients,there was a significant positive correlation between IL-6 levels and HGF,VEGF.3.IL-6 and HGF,VEGF may play a synergistic role and participate in the pathogenesis of DR and the disease progression process. |
