[Objective] Rural areas are the foundation of Chinese society. With the rapid onset of population aging, the elderly in rural areas,as a special group, play an extremely important role in the rural revitalization and development strategy. This paper intends to start from the use of health information of the elderly in rural areas of Hubei province. To construct a model of health information use intention and influencing factors of the elderly in rural areas in line with the current national conditions and realistic needs of China,so as to enrich the research on health information use behavior of the elderly, help the government and its public administration departments understand the health information use of the elderly in rural areas, and improve the awareness of health information use of the elderly in rural areas.[Methods] Based on the characteristics of the elderly in rural areas, this paper used the literature research method to sort out the important factors affecting the willingness to use health information in related studies at home and abroad. At the same time, according to gender, age, education, living situation, occupation, main source of income, disposable income and so on,8 elderly people in rural areas were selected for the interview. The influencing factors of the willingness to use health information were sorted out and summarized. The questionnaire was designed according to the seven influencing factor dimensions of the initial influencing factor model of the willingness of the elderly in rural areas to use health information, and A questionnaire survey was conducted among the elderly in rural areas of A city during the Spring Festival in 2022,and 311 valid questionnaires were obtained. The non-parametric test method was used to study the differences of seven demographic factors such as gender, age, education, main source of income, monthly disposable income, occupation and living status on the seven main influencing factors such as physical function and self-efficacy,and the willingness to use health information itself.Secondly, the chi-square test was used to analyze the types, channels and limiting factors of health information use in the study. Then, reliability test and confirmatory factor analysis were performed on the collected questionnaire data. Finally,SPSS was used for model fitting, hypothesis testing and mediation analysis to verify the proposed hypothesis and obtain the final model.[Results]According to the results of non-parametric test, the educational background and living status of the elderly in rural areas had a direct impact on the willingness to use health information, and the differences between different groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).According to the fitting results of the equation model, three influencing factors, including individual behavior and attitude(β=0.153),perceived usefulness(β=0.767)and social influence(β=0.236),had a direct positive impact on the intention to use health information of the elderly in rural areas.Perceived risk negatively affects the intention to use health information of the elderly in rural areas indirectly through perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness.Self-efficacy and perceived ease of use indirectly affect the intention to use health information of the elderly in rural areas through perceived usefulness. In addition, physical function has no significant effect on the intention to use health information.Among the fitting indexes of the final model, the chi-square degree of freedom ratio was 2.29,GFI was 0.956,RMSEA was 0.063,RMR was 0.046,CFI was 0.954,NFI was 0.920,NNFI was 0.944,all of which reached the reference value standard, indicating that the overall fitting degree between the questionnaire data recovered in the study and the final model was good.[Conclusion] Based on interviews and questionnaires, this study explores the status quo of health information use of the elderly in rural areas of Hubei province, built a model of influencing factors of health information use intention of the elderly in rural areas of Hubei Province。This paper puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the quality of health information, strengthen the positive social influence, cultivate the positive individual behavior and attitude, and avoid the perceived risk reasonably, this kind of research enriched to some extent.
