Application Value Of Early Erector Spinae Plane Block In Acute Herpetic Neuralgia

Objective:Exploring the value of early erector spinae plane block in acute herpetic neuralgia.Methods:Retrospective analysis was performed on acute herpetic neuralgia patients admitted to our hospital from June 2019 to December 2022.There were 30 patients in the control group and 30 patients in the ESPB group meeting the inclusion criteria,and the control group only received drug treatment.In the ESPB group,ultrasound guided erector spinae plane block(ESPB)was performed on the basis of drug therapy.Visual analogue scale score(VAS)and sleep quality(QS)were compared between the two groups before treatment and 1,2 and 4 weeks after treatment.Total response rate at 4 weeks after treatment initiation,skin temperature difference(ΔT)between the affected side and the healthy side of the skin measured by infrared thermal imaging before treatment and 2weeks after treatment initiation,number of subsequent minimally invasive interventions,adverse reactions and complications were also compared between the two groups.Results:The VAS score and QS score at 1,2 and 4 weeks after treatment were lower in the ESPB group than in the control group(P<0.05),and the overall treatment efficiency was higher than in the control group(P<0.05);the difference in skin temperature between the affected side and the healthy side on infrared thermography at 2 weeks after treatment was smaller in the ESPB group than in the control group(P<0.05);fewer cases in the ESPB group received other minimally invasive interventions subsequently(P< 0.05);there was no significant difference in adverse effects and complications between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusions:1.Early and timely erector spinae plane block can effectively relieve acute her petic neuralgia,improve sleep quality.2.Ultrasound-guided ESPB is simple in operation,with fewer adverse reactions and complications,and is worthy of clinical application.
