Objective:Systematically evaluate the effect of chondroitin sulfate combined with glucosamine in the treatment of osteoarthritis compared with the clinical effect of single drug or placebo in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis, hoping to provide evidence-based medical basis for the treatment of osteoarthritis with SYSADOA.Methods:Use the computer to search Pub Med,Cochrane Llibrary,China Knowledge Network Database(CNKI),Wanfang Database and China Biomedical Literature Database(CBM)online database. The search time is from January 2018 to January 2023 to screen the clinical research on the efficacy of chondroitin combined with glucosamine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.Use Review Manager5.3.0 software for meta analysis,Based on different results, the effect of drugs on the curative effect of knee osteoarthritis was evaluated. Results:A total of 446 patients with knee osteoarthritis were included in 7 studies that met the eligibility criteria.Meta-analysis results showed that the effective rate of chondroitin sulfate combined with glucosamine in the treatment of osteoarthritis was statistically significant [OR=8.12 95% CI:(3.01,21.88)].The VAS score of KOA patients treated with glucosamine sulfate combined with glucosamine was significantly better than that of the non-combined treatment group, with a statistically significant difference[MD=0.98,95% Cl(0.58,1.38)].In the WOMAC score, the WOMAC pain improvement of KOA patients treated with Chondroitin sulfate and Glucosamine was better than that of the non combined treatment group, with a statistically significant result [SMD=0.78,95% Cl(0.43,1.12)];The combination of Chondroitin sulfate and Glucosamine in the treatment of KOA is superior to the non combined treatment group in the recovery of body function, with a statistically significant result [SMD=1.70,95% Cl(1.32,2.07)].Conclusion:The meta-analysis of the seven included studies showed that chondroitin sulfate combined with glucosamine in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis was superior to non-combined drugs in terms of effective interest rate, improvement of VAS score, pain and body function. The results were statistically significant. However, because there are fewer articles included, more high-quality research support is still needed.
