Objective: Fitness Qigong is an important part of Chinese traditional health culture,and its variety and scope are incomparable with other sports.By consulting the relevant literature,we can understand the efficacy and function of different types of health qigong movements,and screen out the health qigong movements that can help relieve neck fatigue,and name it ‘neck guidance exercise’ for the convenience of later research.In this study,patients with chronic neck pain were investigated,and the effects of practicing neck-guided exercises for 9 weeks on neck pain index,cervical mobility and quality of life were discussed.It aims to provide easy-to-learn health qigong exercise and scientific and objective new ideas for rehabilitation for people with chronic neck pain,which not only promotes the implementation of healthy China strategy,but also promotes and disseminates China’s excellent traditional health culture.Methods: This research is carried out under the background of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Natural Science Fund Project "Research on Exercise Improving Executive Function of Patients with Chronic Pain"(No.:2021MS03099).From March to May,2022,68 subjects with chronic neck pain were recruited in Dazhou Central Square and Hongjun Park,Sichuan Province.They were randomly divided into experimental group and control group with 34 cases.The experimental group had 9-week neck-guided exercises,at least 5 times a week,one hour each time,while the control group kept the original living habits.Before the experiment,at3 weeks,6 weeks and 9 weeks,the two groups of subjects were tested with different measuring nodes,such as cervical mobility(flexion and extension,lateral flexion and rotation),visual simulation scale VAS,neck pain scale NPQ and quality of life scale SF-12,and compared and analyzed.SPSS26 was used to describe the data,such as frequency,mean standard deviation,etc.,and repeated measurement ANOVA of group 2(experimental group,control group)× measurement node 4(pretest,3weeks,6 weeks,9 weeks)was used to make statistical inference.Results: 1.The results of Visual Simulation Scale(VAS)showed that after 9 weeks’ neck guidance exercise intervention,the experimental group decreased from 4.89 to 1.89(P < 0.05),while the control group increased from 4.81 to 5.63(P < 0.05),and there was interaction between the two groups(P < 0.01).2.The results of Neck Pain Scale(NPQ)showed that after 9 weeks’ neck guidance exercise,the experimental group decreased from 38.51 to12.09(P < 0.05),while the control group increased from 37.72 to 44.527.47(P < 0.05),and there was interaction between the two groups(P <0.01).3.The results of cervical mobility showed that the flexion of cervical mobility in the experimental group increased from 44.98° to 50.33°after 9 weeks of neck guidance exercise intervention(P < 0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P < 0.01).The extension of experimental group increased from 57.23°to 69.54°(P < 0.05),but there was no significant change in control group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P < 0.01).After 9 weeks’ neck guidance exercise intervention,the left flexion of the neck range of the experimental group increased from38.58°to 43.92°(P < 0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P <0.01).The result of right flexion in the experimental group increased from37.39°to 43.44°(P < 0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P <0.01).After 9 weeks’ neck-guiding exercise intervention,the left rotation result of the range of motion of cervical vertebra in the experimental group increased from 53.4°to 63.5°(P < 0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P < 0.01).The results of right rotation in the experimental group increased from 59.56°to 62.89°(P < 0.05),but there was no significant change in the control group,and there was interaction between the two groups(P < 0.01).4.The results of SF-12 quality of life(PCS,MCS)showed that there were significant differences in the measurement results of each node of SF-12(PCS,MCS)score in the experimental group(P < 0.05).The measurement results of SF-12(PCS,MCS)scores in the control group were not significant(P > 0.05).Research conclusions: The 9-week neck guided exercise intervention has a certain impact on neck pain,cervical mobility,and quality of life in people with chronic neck pain.It can alleviate the degree of pain,enhance the range of motion of cervical joints,and improve the level of quality of life. |
